amazing shading...i like how you played with light and shadow....love the texture...its a really impressive job making it done 1.5 hrs....i do have an habbit of overdetailing my work..and never get satisfied with it...so my time just get longer... tho i mostly work on portrait and such...but i do like to getinto landscapes...but to achieve something as good as yours..will take m years....loll....but definitely its an awesome work...keep it up my friend

Awesome painting! I really love the lighting and how you made use of more detail in the front and less in the back to make everything look hazy. :) Great work!

I didn't make a step by step. Process was all over the place and no layers so it wouldnt really benefit.

This is beautiful! Very warm and cozy :) I love all the textures! Wish I could do this :( I obsess too much and would take this 1.5 hr painting into a 6.5 :iconsweatdropplz: I need to learn to not over think!

Once the lighting is down its all detail work from there. Overall scene/ composition is actually quite fast. Just dont get drowned in detail too soon.

Good advice, thanks! :) Do you set a specific time for yourself, or just remember to stop before you over work it?

Personally I like to stop at around 2hours, but time you spent on a piece really doesn't matter all that much. Sometimes I do find myself painting over things for hours. Over detailing is definitely a problem sometimes, and there isn't really a rule for it, not that I know of.

2 hours seems like a decent amount of time though... I saw someone did a really really good speed painting in like 20 minutes :iconwhaplz: I didn't know that was possible lol! Thanks again :)

Reminds me of the Jungle Book (the old Disney film). I'm not quite sure why. Maybe the mix of earthy colors, with the sun just barely brushing past the trees to light the forest. God, I love this so much! New wallpaper, heck yeah! :+favlove:

You probably don't want to hear the words of a photographer (who can't draw ), but this is incredible!! I wish I can go through my computer screen and take a walk! It looks so life-like! I'm speechless! Awesome job! :)

Thanks, I am also a hobbyist photographer and i can tell you that photography is as much visual art as painting is. Surprisingly similar actually imo.
